The Club has a mixed fleet of Trailable yachts ranging in size from 5 to 8 metres with members from all over Melbourne. We are a friendly family club and organize our activities around that idea.
It is not necessary to own a boat. Some join the club as crew and are always in demand.
MTYC has no club house to maintain, so we keep our fees low. New members are welcome.
MTYC Membership Fee Schedule 2025-2026 (Season Commences 1st Sept 2025)

The Family membership allows other family members (Partner or Youth under 18) to join at no additional cost. These options are not available online at the present time unlike the four membership classes listed above. The Family membership holder can contact the club at treasurer.mtyc.au at gmail.com (I think you can figure out the email) for more details.
The youth member (under 18) option is present for membership not associated with a family membership.
MTYC offers a SailPass membership for two nominated dates (two dates to allow a weekend event to be attended). This membership will expire after the registered dates.
If you haven't registered ANYWHERE before for a SailPass select new member & choose SailPass
If you have registered before & to avoid creating duplications select the renew button & choose SailPass. Use the find my AS Number button if you are unsure.
If you have been a member of MTYC (or any sailing club) across Australia in the past few years, your details (including Australian Sailing Number) should be in our system. If you don't know your Australian Sailing Number, you can look it up here: AS Number Finder
Then select the renew button below.
If you don't have or cannot find your Australian Sailing Number select the "want to know more" option at the bottom of the page on the above linked site to register for a new AS Number.
